Our Choreographer, Barry Moloney
Our tour guide is Barry Moloney - a wonderful, terrific guy who can leap tall buildings in a single bound, break down doors with a single leap, and generally an all around superhero! He not only fit all of my expectations of a Rick Steves tour guide, he exceeded them. He made it a point to learn something personal about each of us - made each of us feel special. If you wanted to learn about your roots, he took care of it, if you were a yarn fiend, he'd point you to the best wool stores, if you were a whiskey collector, he'd put you in touch with a fellow aficionado, if you wanted to learn to play the spoons, he'd set up a spoon lesson, if you were a golf nut, if you were an avid gardener, if you were a foodie, if you loved to read, Barry was your guy.
"An te thabharfas sceal chugat tabharfaidh se dha sceal uait."
An old Irish saying Barry shared with us: "They who come with a story to you will bring two away from you."

Yours Truly,
My Two Travel Buddies,
My Fellow Dancers,
My Fellow Traveler, With Me In Spirit, Always,
My travel buddy, Tanny, and I at the Rick Steves Reunion after our 2004 tour where we met as roommates in Paris. Immediately on meeting, we became instant friends. We traveled on many Rick Steves tours together and wove our own travel adventures before and after the tours. We had plans for many more travel adventures. Tragically, brain cancer took her from her travels in this world in 2010. While our travel adventures have taken separate paths, I feel her presence with me, especially when I travel.
